Music technology has become a widely used and respected subject. There are numerous amounts of music mixing programs all over the internet. Most notably, Cubase and FL studio which have become extremely popular music mixing programs. There are a wide amount of features that are required for any music mixer. Additionally, these features are needed to have a high quality and need to be easy to use. Otherwise, the program will be practically useless to any person who wants to make a song.

One of these music mixing programs is Ultramixer, a simple and easily accessible program for anyone who wishes to mix music. It has a pleasant interface in which is clear and nicely laid out. This is very helpful because you'll find yourself not getting distracted as much by the mass amounts of effects other mixing software offers so by the end you find your sound has been well developed and not messed around with too much. This effectively means, you are able to finish the song much quicker and it will be of much higher quality as you wont spend forever trying to find the best effect. Instead, ultramixer has a small variety of good quality effects that can be used on the most part, all of you songs. Ultramixer has been developed well. One of the most frustrating issues I found with  other mixing programs was the issue of them not responding, crashing or even blue screening, this is the complete opposite with Ultramixer. Instead, you find a stable and smooth program that does not lag or crash. Getting rid of the risk of losing all your work.

The program does have its problems however. For instance, prior to this point, I mentioned the fact it is not loaded with effects was a positive aspect as it did not distract you from mixing.  The extent of how helpful this was is abit too much. There are far too little effects for your work. One thing that really disappointed me with Ultramixer was that you aren't able to scratch! This is a feature I can guarantee most mixing programs have, yet Ultramixer does not. I found this a real shame because it really limits users to what they can do, scratching being a feature that really improves tracks this is almost a requirement to do decent mixes.

Unfortunately, I will only suggest downloading Ultramixer to users who are beginners at mixing. It was an accessible interface for all those whom are new to making music on their laptop or computer. However, once you've gotten to grips of how to do so, you will probably download a different program. Overall, I give this program 3/5 as a rating, this is due to its lack of effects and the fact it does not give the user the ability to scratch.
