Ultramixer Professional edition is a very simple mixing program which can be used to mix songs and sounds with ease. Users will find the interface really easy to use, and so I will first start by saying that this program is a definite recommendation to beginners. This program will in fact be a decent program to use to learn all the basics of how to mix. Ultramixer professional has been well developed and offers some key features. However, it also lacks features that could be extremely helpful and are offered by almost all other mixing programs.

Ultramixer professional edition is a really easy program to use. It has a simple interface in which is clean and intuitive, this helps a lot because you'll find yourself not getting distracted as much by the mass amounts of effects other mixing software offers so by the end you find your sound has been well developed and not messed around with too much. You'll find it gets done a lot quicker too because you haven’t got to search throughout the copious amount of effect trying to find that 'perfect' one. Instead, ultramixer has a small variety of useful effects that can be used for the majority of sounds you make. Ultramixer has been developed very effectively and one issue I found with so many other mixing programs was the issue of them not responding, crashing or even blue screening, this is the complete opposite with Ultramixer. Instead, you find a stable and smooth program that does not lag or crash. Getting rid of the risk of losing all your work.

There are a few issues though. Previously, I stated that the fact it is not loaded with effects was a positive aspect as it did not distract you from mixing. However, the extent of this is a bit too much. There are far too little effects for your work. One thing that really disappointed me with Ultramixer professional was that you aren't able to scratch! This is a feature i can guarantee most mixing programs have, yet Ultramixer does not. I found this a real shame because it really limits users to what they can do, scratching being a feature that really improves tracks this is almost a requirement to do decent mixes.

Due to this, I will only suggest downloading Ultramixer to users who are beginners at mixing. This is because it has an easy interface, and will not bombard you with effects that you don’t need. After learning the skills of mixing with this program, you will probably find yourself downloading a more advanced program. However, for professional edition, it is not really worth the money. You might as well download a free one and then buy a better program. The scratching feature would not be much use to beginners considering they wouldn't really know how to use such a thing. However, once becoming more advanced at creating mixes you will soon find scratching and more effects to be useful and make much better ones. So it is a real shame it does not include these. I give this program a rating of 3/5, mainly due to its lack of effects and scratching feature.
