Kingfishers and Kookaburras Screensaver presents images from Richard Bowdler Sharpe's ornithological book, Family of Kingfishers, published from 1868 to 1871. Only two-hundred copies of Famiy of Kingfishers were ever printed. It is extremely rare. Richard Bowdler Sharpe began work on A Monograph of The Alcedinidae, or Family of Kingfishers, when he was 17 years old. John Gould supplied specimens for the work, and John G. Keulemans, the extraordinary Dutch wildlilfe painter and illustrator, drew the 140 kingfisher plates included in the book. Keulemans was highly productive and reliable. For 30 years he produced more bird paintings than any contemporary, published in over a hundred major bird books and journals.

The year was 1997, the scene an A-level maths class. In the depths of intense boredom step forward a young lad called Chris, who with the most basic of tools he created Zap. And when I say basic I mean a sharpe graphic calculator (with literally a 10K of memory or something). With these limitations he was able to create Zap, an incredibly addictive game (and yes very basic). I will be using NG futures contracts for trading and will track pnl in terms of ticks (NG trades in ticks, so .001 ticks on ICE would be about $70/contract, $10/contract on NYMEX) Over 17 days this strategy on this dataset would make about $1060 on NYMEX, or $7427 on ICE.
