Certain electromagnetic scattering problems have analytical solutions. In the cylindrical coordinate, the solutions are expressed in the series form of the products of the Bessel functions and exponential functions. This package contains the code that implements the field solutions as a) a planewave scattered by a conducting cylinder and a dielectric cylinder b) a cylindrical wave from a line source scattered by a conducting cylinder and a dielectric cylinder. The solutions to these problems are available in [Balanis] and [Harrington]. The following scripts demonstrate the use of this package: plotConductingCylinderTotalFieldUnderPlaneWave plotDielectricCylinderTotalFieldUnderPlaneWave plotConductingCylinderTotalFieldUnderLineSource plotDielectricCylinderTotalFieldUnderLineSource The code returns the plots of the total field...

Certain electromagnetic scattering problems have analytical solutions. In the spherical coordinate, the solutions are expressed in the series form of the products of the Riccati-Bessel functions, associative Legendre polynomials, and exponential functions. This package contains the code that implements the field solutions as a) a planewave is scattered by a dielectric sphere, b) a planewave is scattered by a multi-layer concentric sphere. The solutions are acquired through the formulation of the radial component of the magnetic and vector potentials [Harrington]. The scattering problem of a homogenous dielectric sphere is on pp.

- SASfit

SASfit is a simple, handy, very easy to use application specially designed to offer you a program for fitting structural models to small angle scattering data.
It can calculate integral structural parameters like radius of gyration, scattering invariant, Porod constant. Furthermore it can fit size distributions together with several form factors including different structure factors.
Additionally an algorithm has been implemented, which allows to simultaneously fit several scattering curves with a common set of (global) parameters. This last option is especially important in contrast variation experiments or measurements with polarised neutrons.

- cstodconverter
- License: Freeware

cstodconverter is a specially designed utility that uses particle scattering data to convert a particle's scattering cross section to a diameter.
This is usually non-trivial because scattering cross section is a nonlinear and non-monotonic function of diameter. The software is targetted at performing refractive index corrections for optical particle counters.
The scattering data used can be generated from Mie theory, or from any other source e.g. experimental data, your own Mie code, T-matrix calculations or any other scattering theory.
