Software Listing: Rainmeter

Before the release of Windows Seven, using a windows operating system was a very humdrum and dull experience. There very no official themes available apart from Classic look, similar to Windows 98 look. Even after the release of Windows Seven, there have not been many changes regarding the same. Yes, Microsoft has released better looking themes and a few nice looking and functioning gadgets but they are not very well supported and developed. In addition to poor support, there are very few customization options available with them. For better customization of Home screen, also known as Desktop, many free programs are released.

foo_cad will provide users with a foobar2000 plugin to add support for Rainmeter and CD Art Display skins.

Installation:
· Ensure that foobar2000 1.1.11 or higher is installed
· Download foo_cad
· Run (double-click) the downloaded file to install
· Note: If you are running a portable version of foobar2000, use Library -> Configure -> Components -> Install.... Then, select the downloaded foo_cad.fb2k-component file to install.

libcad adds support for the CAD interface to VLC media player (version 1.1.x required). The CAD interface is used by Rainmeter or CD Art.

Usage:
Extract the downloaded archive and copy the libcad_plugin.dll file into your VLC plugins folder (usually located in C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\plugins).

Open VLC and select Tools -> Preferences. First, click on All under "Show settings". Then, expand Interface -> Control interfaces. Check CAD Now-Playing and then Save.

For the changes to take effect you must restart VLC. Enjoy!
