This is a quick program I wrote to generate some oriental style music (played on the koto). There are 5 different styles/rhythms to choose from (shown under intensity), and a couple of other small customizations..

Oriental Clock is a fine screensaver with the Japanese flair. As you give your mouse a little rest, the desktop slowly fades away and you suddenly find yourself sitting under the cool mountain pines, gazing off at the rocks and the bridge in front of you. The sun is setting down. There is a slight chill in the air. The haze is rising from the lake below and obscuring the view. A young Japanese man is pulling a handcart slowly along the bridge. Everything is quiet, calmly beautiful and so are your thoughts after watching the screensaver for some time. The screensaver features wonderfully drawn 2D environment, nice animation of the floating haze and the walking Japanese man.
