- SSI Model Railway Control System
- License: Shareware
- Price: 89

SSI is an application which enables a PC computer to control the operation of a model railway layout through hardware connected to the communications port. SSI uses the MRAPI 'middle ware' product to provide the actual hardware communications. SSI replaces a conventional control panel with a computer screen, providing significant levels of functionality that would otherwise require complex wiring. It does not 'drive' trains. SSI uses the 'signalman centric' (signalman tells trains what to do, driver drives according to signals) rather than 'driver centric' (driver drives trains and system changes signals depending on where he is) paradigm.

The Atomic Memory Model is a powerful technology which handles memory in a consistent, elegant, simple and highly effective way greatly increasing the quality of code and speed of development. The Atomic Memory Model makes concepts such as garbage collection redundant, since it combines intrinsic safety with increased performance and a more efficient use of memory. Languages featuring templates and inheritance are naturally better suited for using the Atomic Memory Model than others without these features: however the minimum prerequisite a language must possess in order to be able to implement the Atomic Memory model, is the capacity to define entities (user types) and to make implicit destructor calls regarding those entities.

- Business Valuation Model Excel
- License: Shareware
- Price: 149.95

The Business Valuation Model Excel is an "out-of-the-box" professional valuation model developed by a CFA charterholder. It is designed to accept information from publicly-available 10-K reports in order to calculate the total and per-share value of a business. The model includes a basic and common-size income statement and balance sheet, an easy-to-use cost of equity and WACC calculator, a detailed ratio analysis and a comprehensive discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis. Cells requiring user input are clearly highlighted, making valuations very easy to perform. The model is also flexible, allowing the practitioner to vary the analysis based on variables such as: expected return on the overall market, perpetual future growth rate of cash flows, expected new investments, and miscellaneous items.

The Atomic Memory Model is a powerful methodology which handles memory in a consistent, elegant, simple and highly effective way, greatly increasing the quality of code and speed of development. By abstracting the memory and representing it as an encapsulated entity, one can eliminate all of the issues arising around using memory in a digital computer system and make them intrinsically impossible. The download includes the thesis of the model, the complete source code of example implementation "Two" (version 2.3) for C++, and a Reference Manual. It also includes a set of useful helper classes and the source code for implementation "One" (version 1.

- Object Contextualization Model
- License: Shareware

The Object Contextualization Model extends the Object Oriented Paradigm by appending context to objects at the point of their definition. The context is represented by metadata, so that the objects with and without context have the same footstep and performance. Context definitions have no size and complexity limits, and thus they could encompass large composite meanings. Based on the context of an object, the compiler is able to detect and decline incorrect assignments, for example bool_Is_Monday = bool_Is_Fish. Further, by attaching context to function parameters, the Object Contextualization Model removes the limitation of one function overload per prototype per namespace, since even though parameters may be of the same intrinsic type, the different context makes them differentiable and unambiguously referable.

- Easy Model Railroad Inventory
- License: Freeware
- Price: 0.00

Easy Model Railroad Inventory is designed to inventory all of your model railroad rolling stock, locomotives and cars, the structures, electronic equipment, book collection. Once the information has been entered there are many ways to view, query, report, and graph what you own. In addition to inventory there are also functions to operate your railroad using a variety of methods. Easy Model Railroad Inventory has been through months of beta testing before the final release by the members of the Tidewater Division of the NMRA. Their valuable input was necessary to develop a program that was useful and easy to use.

- Configurable Simulink Model for DC-DC Converters with PWM PI Control
- License: Freeware
- Price: 0.00

This package includes a configurable Simulink model for three different types of DC-DC converters (Buck, Boost and Buck-Boost converters) with a PWM PI controller. The example provided shows a case to boost voltage from 5 volts to 25 volts. It can be used to learn DC-DC converters and their control. The model itself also provides an example how to mask a subsystem in Simulink. A HTML and a pdf files are provided to explain the principles of the unform Simulink model for three different types of DC-DC converters. The model does not require other Simulink blocks, such as SimPowerSystems..

- Model-Based Design of Landing Gear
- License: Freeware

This submission provides the files used in the webinar presentation, "Model-Based Design of Landing Gear". In this presentation, we demonstrate how Model-Based Design (MBD) can be used for the development of flight landing systems. We create and show flight simulations of landings of NASA?s HL20 lifting body design. We show that to employ Model-Based Design successfully for landing gear systems, your simulations must represent the aerodynamic loads and the activity of the flight control system leading up to the landing. The outcome of this effort is identification of the force magnitude requirement for the hydraulic actuation of the landing gear linkage.

This model demonstrates how to implement a coupled structural-aerodynamic problem. The wing, otherwise rigid, is allowed to pitch and plunge. The motion of the wing is defined using SimMechanics blocks. The aerodynamic model is a simple, quasi-steady formulation. Dynamic pressure is manipulated by varying the Mach number & Altitude. You can also vary the CG location of the wing by double clicking on the picture of the BACT subsystem. The structural, mass, and aerodynamic properties all come from the following paper: AIAA 96-3437 "Modeling the Benchmark Active Control Technology Wind Tunnel Model for Application to Flutter Suppression" by Martin R.
