Oncilla Excel2Text is a tool to convert Excel files to Text files. The Text files can be in any of the following formats UTF-8, ANSI or Unicode (little endian).
What is the benefit ?
The tool lets you perform this conversion with out using MS Excel, it does not require that MS Excel be installed on the computer.
This tool is particularly useful if the data in the excel sheets is non ASCII(example: Kanji) and requires to be ported to other Operating Systems like Unix and Mac.
Also as a Data preparation tool before a database import.
