In dem Spiel Imp (Imperialistische materialistische Politik) geht es darum, Ihre Wirtschaft auszubauen. Dies erreichen Sie, indem Sie Arbeiter anwerben, sie ausbilden und Güter produzieren lassen. Diese lassen Sie dann durch die Eisenbahn in die Hauptstadt transportieren und schließlich verarbeiten. Wenn Sie eine stabile Wirtschaft aufgebaut haben, können Sie beginnen militärisch aufzurüsten. Dabei können Sie zwischen vielen verschiedenen Militäreinheiten und Kriegsschiffen wählen. Wenn Sie glauben, dass Sie genügend Militäreinheiten und Kriegsschiffe zur Verfügung haben, können Sie Ihre Feinde angreifen und so das Spiel gewinnen.
