nteractive smoothing for time-series signals, with sliders that allow you to adjust the smoothing parameters continuously while observing the effect on your signal dynamically. Run SmoothSliderTest to see how it works. Can be used with any smoothing function, but two fast smooth functions are included. Details are in the text file SmoothSliderInfo.txt. See http://terpconnect.umd.edu/~toh/spectrum/Smoothing.html for more information about smoothing. Tom O'Haver, toh@umd.edu, July 2006. Slider function by Matthew Jones..

Sliders is similar to obession. You roll the dice and slide the rings up that are in the column that matches the numbers on the dice or the sum of the dice. You can also choose to slide your opponents rings down. The first player to have all their rings in the up position wins the round. The first player to win a certain amount of rounds wins the game. Needs the Tams11 Lobby from tams11.com in order to play against others..

- Interactive Power Spectrum Demo
- License: Freeware

Digital signal generator (sumulator) with power spectrum display and sliders for "real time" control, useful for teaching and demonstrating the power spectra of different types of signals and the effect of signal duration and sampling rate. Version 1.1 adds sound output. The signal slider selects from 10 different signals (you can change these in RedrawSpectrum.m). The Time slider controls the total duration of signal, the Rate slider controls the sample rate, and the F1 and F2 sliders control the global variables f1 and f2 which are used in different ways in the different signals. The Sound slider has only two settings: OFF (down) and ON (up).

- Interactive Fourier Filter
- License: Freeware

A fourier filter for time-series signals. Version 1.5, May 4, 2007, is calibrated specifically for time-based signals. Does not require the Signal Processing Toolbox. By adjusting the parameters, you can create lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and bandreject (notch) filters with variable cut-off rate. There is an interactive version with sliders that allows you to adjust the filter parameters continuously while observing the effect on your signal dynamically. See: http://www.wam.umd.edu/~toh/spectrum/Inter...urierFilter.htm for more information. (Thanks to Matthew Jones for the slider function.).

- Peak finding and measurement
- License: Freeware

A fast customizable function for locating and measuring the peaks in noisy time-series signals. Adjustable parameters allow discrimination of "real" signal peaks from noise and background. Determines the position, height, and width of each peak by least-squares curve-fitting. It can find and measure 1000 peaks in a 1,000,000 point signal in 8 seconds. Includes two interactive versions, one with mouse-controlled sliders and one with keyboard control, for adjusting the peak finding criteria in real-time. Self-contained demos show how it works. See http://www.wam.umd.edu/~toh/spectrum/PeakF...Measurement.

- Interactive Peak Fitter
- License: Freeware

A peak fitting program for time-series signals, written as a self-contained function in a single m-file. Uses an non-linear optimization algorithm to decompose a complex, overlapping-peak signal into its component parts. The objective is to determine whether your signal can be represented as the sum of fundamental underlying peaks shapes. Accepts signals of any length, including those with non-integer and non-uniform x-values. Fits Gaussian, exponentially-broadened Gaussian, Lorentzian, Pearson, and Logistic shapes (expandable to other shapes). Unlike the previous version of this program, this one does not use sliders, which were giving some people problems.
