Auto Kill Any Process or A.K.A.P for short, is a very useful utility, to kill Multiple-Sets of different processes at once, by simply launching the program. It can also automatically monitor and kill processes at user specified intervals. These features can come in handy if you want to clean up a batch of related processes, after working with any application, or if you want to clear a set of expendable processes before starting another RAM intensive application, or to automatically get rid of reincarnating processes, in just a few seconds, instead of using the tedious task manager. A.K.A.P uses the HITLIST concept, wherein, the names of the processes, chosen to be terminated by the user, are saved in a file with its extension as \'.

UnLock IT is a free utility used to unlock files and folders locked by applications or system processes. It can help you every time when you get an Access Denied error while trying to change, rename or delete files or folders, because they are locked. UnLock IT allows you to detect processes that lock a resource and unlock it by closing file and library handles to the resource. If the resource cannot be unlocked by these methods, you will be prompted to kill the processes that hold locks. The application can terminate not only regular applications and system processes but also viruses, trojans and other spyware processes that have a special protection from termination.

KillProcess is an application assassin of the extreme kind. It can terminate almost any process on a Windows machine, including any service and process running in the system. Even protected Microsoft system processes can be terminated. All of this can be done in the matter of milliseconds.

The speed that KillProcess can kill your applications with is determined by your computer speed and is not restricted by any other settings within the OS itself. RKill is designed to act as an assistant for your security software and help in the removal of malware components from your system.

When RKill runs it will kill malware processes and then import a Registry file that removes incorrect file associations and fixes policies that stop us from using certain tools. When finished it will display a log file that shows the processes that were terminated while the program was running.

As RKill only terminates a program's running process, and does not delete any files, after running it you should not reboot your computer as any malware processes that are configured to start automatically will just be started again.

Windows NT/2000 does not come with a command-line 'kill' utility. You can get one in the Windows NT or Win2K Resource Kit, but the kit's utility can only terminate processes on the local computer. PsKill is a kill utility that not only does what the Resource Kit's version does, but can also kill processes on remote systems. You don't even have to install a client on the target computer to use PsKill to terminate a remote process.
