- Area Moment of Inertia Lite
- License: Freeware

This tool helps to calculate moment of Inertia for any cross section. Area, principal or 2nd moment of inertia (MI) is the sectional properties of 2D shapes. These are useful for structural mechanics and dynamics performance prediction. Cross Sectional properties are important for tension and compression performance calculations. Moment of inertial is critical for bending stiffness and strength calculations.
MI properties for a standard shapes can be obtained from a list of table or standard formula. But for irregular shapes and nonstandard sizes, the sectional properties are not readily available.

- Hydraulic Transmission Line with Accumulator
- License: Freeware

The remarkable advance in hydraulic and electrohydraulic power systems resulted in producing control valves of very short settling time. The rapid closure of hydraulic transmission lines leads to severe pressure surge. The attached Simulink file is developed to evaluate the applicability of oleo-pneumatic accumulators for the protection against this phenomenon. A lumped parameter model was developed for the transmission line, assuming four lumps, considering the effect of line resistance, inertia and capacitance. The validity of lumped parameter models is evaluated by comparing theoretical results with published experimental results.

- BOAT PARKING HD
- License: Freeware

Drive a car, truck, or bus is certainly very fun, however, have you ever tried to park a boat? With the inherent inertia in movement in the water, things are much more complicated, but particularly fun.
Boat Parking in HD, take control of a great little boat and fight your way through a crowded harbor say.
It is of course not necessary to have a boating license to play our game parking boat, just a recent smartphone to enjoy the pleasures of sailing at sea
Remember, before you start playing HD Boat parking, a boat driver in a completely different way than a car. Indeed, where a car brakes in an instant thanks to the friction of the wheels produced on the tarmac, a boat launched at low speed take much more time to stabilize its speed and not move through inertia.

JMARS is an acronym that stands for Java Mission-planning and Analysis for Remote Sensing. It is a geospatial information system (GIS) developed by ASU's Mars Space Flight Facility to provide mission planning and data-analysis tools to NASA's orbiters, instrument team members, students of all ages, and the general public. JMARS provides free and efficient access to more than a terabyte of NASA orbiter data, and has basic image and vector processing features to conveniently compare, plot, and blend data. While JMARS began with a focus on Mars, it has branched out to work with data for Earth and the Moon, for which separate versions now exist.

- Multiple Correspondence Analysis Based on the Burt Matrix
- License: Freeware

Statistics fundamentals of the Correspondence Analysis (CA) is presented in the CORRAN and MCORRAN1 m-files you can find in this FEX author''s page. CA can be extended to more than two categorical variables, called Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA). CA and MCA are graphical techniques for representing the information in a two-way or higher-order multiway contingency table. They contain the counts (frequencies) of items for a cross-classifications of the categorical variables (Rencher, 2000). Karl Pearson (1913) developed the antecedent of CA used by Procter&Gamble (Horst 1935). R.A. Fisher (1940) named the approach 'reciprocal averaging' because is reciprocally averages row and column percents in table data until they are reconciled.

- Polyhedron Inertial Properties

Dynamical analyses in engineering often require inertial properties of complex shapes such as polyhedra. The volume, the first moment of volume and the second moment of volume of a general solid can be computed by V = Integral( dVol ), VR = Integral( R*dVol ), VRR = Integral( R*R'*dVol ). Also of interest are the centroidal radius RC = VR/V and the inertia tensor I = eye(3,3)*trace( VRR )-VRR. The Gauss divergence theorem for a tensor function F states that Integral( div(F)*dVol ) = SurfIntegral( Dot(N,F)*dSurf ) where R = [x; y; z] is the cartesian radius vector and N is the outward directed unit surface normal.
