Freeware Listing: Date Created

FolderTouch is a handy and reliable application designed to modify the date created, modified or accessed of any file.

The operation can be performed for multiple files at a time, as long as they are placed in the same folder. Files that are currently in use will not be processed.

Examples:
· FolderTouch - modifies all files and folders recursively inside the current folder with the current date and time
· FolderTouch *.* modifies all files inside the current folder (but excludes subfolders) with the current date and time

File Date Touch is a handy and reliable application designed to modify the date and time of your files. To select one file or directory, one can type in the name, paste it from the clipboard or select it browsing for files. The most convinient way however is to open Windows Explorer and to drag and drop the files for processing from there.

File Date Touch will change the Date Modified and the Date Accessed to "New Date & Time" of the selected files, when the button "Change Dates" is pressed. The Date Created will be chaged depending on the selected option.

If a directory is selected, there are two more options which will be applied.

Was it "New Folder (3)" or "New Folder (48)"? If so, here is a solution for you. New-ext extends Windows Explorer context menu with a number of commands that create a directory based on a template you configure. The new folder name is based on the template string and current date. For example, I find it useful to name my photo folders like "27.jun.2006", so my format string is "dd.MMM.yyyy".
