Daisy is a content management system that offers rich out-of-the-box functionality combined with solid foundations for extensibility and integration. Daisy consists of two main components: -a stand-alone repository server accessible through HTTP/XML (using the ReST style of WebServices) and/or a high-level (remote) Java API, and -an extensive editing and publishing front-end web application running inside Apache Cocoon. Due to its genericity and flexibility, Daisy can be used for many different purposes, but is ideally suited for information-rich, structured content and asset management applications.

RTFC Daisy-Generatorsolves a common problem of electronic publishing and software development: a printed document, the electronic version (such as online Assistance) and a version for the Internet can be kept together and generated from a source.

A help-map file for context-sensitive help provides for the easy integration into an application program.

DAISY 2.02 Regenerator takes a Daisy DTB of formats Daisy 2.0 or 2.02 as input, and attempts to refresh, fix and update the content of the DTB files so that they comply to the 2.02 specification.

When the regeneration process has been completed, the Regenerator can optionally call the Daisy 2.02 Validator to validate the result.

DAISY 2.02 Regenerator's engine is built so that new fixes/corrections can be added as they are found in existing DTBs. The list below does not necessarily include all fixes that the Regenerator performs in the version you are currently using.
