A new version is being considered to improve some of the reports, and possible changes to Import procedures. When available, this will be a free version upgrade to registered users. I do not have a firm time frame for the next upgrade, nor have I decided if this will be a minor, incremental release, as I have only received complaints from one registered user, however, when available it will be posted on the web site so please check back often.

The new interface is more attractive, and will look more like XP when running on Microsoft's Windows XP. The many reports included with earlier versions are supplemented in 2.

If you have struggled to set up web based software in the past, or don't want to use Microsoft IIS for other reasons, you may find this web server a real "no brainer". QUAD Help Desk 2008 version 1.0 - This release includes user login and procedure security features, now known as "groupware" and replaces QUAD Help Desk Standard and Pro Edition. Multi user ready, the new version has a new interface, new backend database, and new features. Easily output your data in a variety of formats or send directly to your default email program.

Use Rich Text Formatting. Edit calls in list/table or form view. Spell check. Many changes in this new version.

Licensed users will also receive a CD with a Report and Queries add on tool. This Report and Query feature allows you to create not only basic reports, but also Cross Tab reports and attractive charts and graphs.

I will be adding more information on our newest generic customer support program, QUAD Help Desk Client Server Edition 2006, soon. Unlike QUAD Help Desk Standard and Pro Edition, this version utilizes a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition backend (you need to have that already installed). There are two versions of QUAD Help Desk Client Server 2006: One version utilizes user and procedure security as does QUAD Help Desk Pro Edition while the other will not use these features.

Proactive Customer Support 2006 was uploaded on September 30, 2006. This new release is file compatible with version 2.0 and, although optional, it is a free version upgrade to registered (licensed) users of version 2.0. The web page interface for this version is provided in the newer ASP .NET format, aspx pages instead of Classic ASP pages. The web pages are provided with several styles to allow you to display the web pages with a different look and feel. I will initially leave the site license price as $299 which covers both the windows application and the web interface for as many users as you like.

December 11, 2005 - Shut Up and Reboot! 2006 is now available. Totally redesigned since earlier versions, the differences are more than skin deep. The backend database format is no longer an old fashioned .dbf file, but includes the same stable, robust file format as our Been There, Done That!, Problem Solved! and many other programs.
This is also the first of our customer support/help desk programs to include integrated charts and graphs and a built in backup and restore utility.

I have just released version 2.59 of the AccessAble Help Desk Client Server Edition. Unlike earlier web interface I have developed, in this release I have separate login pages which can be used as a "starting point" for logging in to the web interface. In the past, the login page was called as needed, when access to a web page with a security level check was required. In this version, you may provide a login page as the starting point. Try out the new version pages, I have not included much in the way of sample data, so please feel free to created some of your own. If you create an account, and use your "real" email address you should receive emails generated by the web pages.
