A simple function that examines a string and returns a naive directory listing; no validity checks are made on subdirectory strings. A = PATH_PARTS(S) returns a cell array of strings containing the sub-strings delimited by the system file separator. [A,B] = PATH_PARTS(S) returns the directory strings parsed from the input string, S, where A is a cell array of strings, and B is a struct with a field representing each subdirectory. [A,B,C] = PATH_PARTS(S) returns the directory strings determined from S in the cell array, A, the struct B, and as an array of strings with equal length.

Walking a directory structure and performing some action on the files and directories encountered is common in many applications. Built using UnThread, Multicore DirWalk provides an extensible, reusable DirWalk API that is not only threadsafe, but also multicore aware for faster operation.

Did you know that the device driver that implements named pipes is actually a file system driver" In fact, the driver's name is NPFS.SYS, for "Named Pipe File System". What you might also find surprising is that its possible to obtain a directory listing of the named pipes defined on a system. This fact is not documented, nor is it possible to do this using the Win32 API. Directly using NtQueryDirectoryFile, the native function that the Win32 FindFile APIs rely on, makes it possible to list the pipes. The directory listing NPFS returns also indicates the maximum number of pipe instances set for each pipe and the number of active instances.

in sectors. in KB. entries for FAT16, root cluster for FAT32. extension must be .txt.

Or copies files from a lost directory. If the 'copyfiles' option is used, the current directory must be empty if not root. The directory cluster numbers can be found in the search log file.
