**Mann-Kendall Tau-b with Sen's Method (enhanced)**- License: Shareware

The **Mann**-**Kendall** Tau-b non-parametric function computes a coefficient representing strength and direction of a trend for equally spaced data. While you do not need the Statistics Toolbox to compute Taub, you do need it to **test** for significance. This function will compute Tau-b (now tau-a as well), significance (and the various supporting statistics), and also a non-parametric slope method: Sens Method.
Note: Statistics Toolbox is only needed in this function to **test** for significance. Otherwise, there is nothing required beyond Matlab itself.

**Seasonal Kendall Test with Slope for Serial Dependent Data**- License: Shareware

Seasonal **Kendall** Trend **Test** for Data with and without Searial Dependance.
Tau-b seasonal: takes into account ties (and multiple observations, except, the data are preprocessed in a subfucntion and multiple observatiosn per a given season are averaged using median).
Tau-a seasonal: does not consider multiple observations per season as ties. The data are preprocessed, seasons with multiple observations are summarized with a median value.
This routine will take into data evenly spaced by seasons.

Another seasonal trend **test** that has good power detetecting a monotonic trends when seasonal cycles are present. But should only be used when no data are missing. When no data are missing this **test** is more accurate than the **Kendall** Seasonal (unless serial dependence is accounted for? See sktt.m for Seasonal **Kendall** **Test** and slope.

**Homogeneity test of Global Trends using Chi-Square on Mann-Kendall**- License: Shareware

GlobalTrends- Homogeneity tests for multiple seasons and stations. This function will **test** for trends when seasonality is present and over multiple observation stations, all of which are Chi-square statistics. There are so many statistical tests being done, this function is more like a script or program than a function, but I prefer operating with functions.
This function relies heavily on Matlab's Statistical Toolbox for obtaining Chi-square values and ktaub.m function.
These tests will allow for ties, missing data, and multiple observations per time index, since it uses the enhanced ktaub.

This function provides a Wilcoxon-type **test** for trend across a group of three or more independent random samples.
Assumptions:
- Data must be at least ordinal
- Groups must be selected in a meaningful order i.e. ordered
If you do not choose to enter your own group scores then scores are allocated uniformly (1 ... n) in order of selection of the n groups.
The null hypothesis of no trend across the groups T will have mean E(T), variance var(T) and the null hypothesis is tested using the normalised **test** statistic z.

**A Parabolic Lagrangian Interpolating Polynomial Function**- License: Shareware

This function uses a non-linear interpolation (Lagrange) to estimate y given x, based on a set of observed x-y points. Coordinates will be sorted based on the x-value of the pair. The x-value provided by the user to calculate y will be estimated using two points left and two points right of the provided x-value. While this function will allow the user to prescribe any number of observed points to be used for the interpolation, caution should be used when more than four points are used in the equation.

**Estimating a models skill of predictability**- License: Shareware

The skill score is a statistic similar to the Nash-Sutcliffe in that the closer to one the better the model prediction. This function interprets model predictability using residual error and observed variability in your data. A skill score of 1 means a perfect fit (don't we all wish). A skill score equal to or less than zero means your model error is larger than the variability in your data, and should not be used any further without re-evaluating the model design. There are no required toolboxes to compute this statistic.

This file executes the non parametric **Mann**-Whitney-Wilcoxon **test** to evaluate the difference between unpaired samples. If the number of combinations is less than 20000, the algorithm calculate the exact ranks distribution; else it uses a normal distribution approximation. The result is not different from
RANKSUM MatLab function, but there are more output informations. There is an alternative formulation of this **test** that yields a statistic commonly denoted by U. Also the U statistic is computed.
