It allows you to control the NXT over either Bluetooth or a network connection. To communicate with the NXT over Bluetooth a partnership between the PC and the NXT has to be established.

NXT Vehicle Remote was designed as a NXT Bluetooth remote that was developed using the C++ communication library.

The remote lets you control a two motor vehicle, a single motor as well as read all four sensors, by selecting the appropriate sensor type and mode.

To control a vehicle simply select the two motors that drives your robot. By changing the turn ratio you can determine how sharp you want your robot to turn.

The remote also lets you set the speed and chose between break and float on all three motors.

The C++ communication library was developed so that it is easier to communicate with the NXT using either a Bluetooth or network connection.

To be able to communicate with the NXT over Bluetooth a partnership between the PC and the NXT has to be established. Once a partnership is established you should be able to see which Com-port the NXT uses.

Please follow this link if you don't know how to do this. To communicate with the NXT over a network you need to download and run the NXT network server.
