If you share a computer at home or at work, some users may their own have personal preferences regarding the screen resolution that your monitor or projector is set up, and the colors that are displayed. This could be because of bad eye sight, specific application requirements, and so on. Screen Resolution Manager helps avoid the constant need to change resolution manually each time a different user logs in.

I wasn't expecting Screen Resolution Manager to be quite as easy to setup as it is. With support for multiple monitors, resolution and frequency, as well as colors displayed on screen, before testing it is pretty difficult to fault this software at all.

Setting up Screen Resolution Manager is really quite simple. All you have to do is log in to your own user account and open Screen Resolution Manager. The main window is spread out and simple to use, consisting of only two tabs. Use the Configuration tab to specify your own screen settings, and use the drop down menu to switch between screens if you have multiple monitors setup. Now Hit OK.

To make this come into effect, I just logged out and logged back in again and my screen resolution changed - success! I then logged into another Windows account and carried out the same procedure. Alternating between the two accounts changed the screen resolution automatically.

Screen Resolution Manager isn’t freeware unfortunately, however does work. I would definitely recommend trying it though before purchasing it, as it does come with a trial mode. As much as this software did work for me, its one of those programs where I feel results may differ depending on the system and setup you have. Nevertheless, I had no problems, and if I was in a position where the screen resolution needed to change depending on the user account, I’d definitely be looking at software such as Screen Resolution Manager. Overall, I’d rate it 3.7/5.
