MailScan 4 for WinRoute acts like a Content-Security and Anti-Virus Software for your Corporate WinRoute Mail Server. It scans and cleans the e-mails that: A) Flow between all the local users. / B) Are sent from your WinRoute Mail Server to the Internet / C) Come into your WinRoute Mail Server from the Internet (either via SMTP or POP3). MailScan 4 is the only solution available across the world that transparently works on SMTP and POP3 traffic. Both SMTP and POP3 are supported. Technically, a new layer the MicroWorld WinSock Layer (MWL) is placed between the default WinSock2 and the applications. MWL analyzes traffic that flows between WinRoute and the Internet or your applications.
