Instead, it searches in the specific folder with your OneNote files, which gives a boost in search speed. Another specialty of InstantNavigator is its ability to search for a word in pages, which are contained inside OneNote files. These files are inaccessible to Vista search, which can only search in sections and notebooks. InstantNavigator looks for a keyword in the titles of notebooks, sections and inside the notes, providing more accurate results than Vista search and OneNote standard search. InstantNavigator integrates with Microsoft OneNote seamlessly and runs as a standalone application. To start the program, click on its icon on the desktop or press the hotkey. By default, the hotkey is "Windows" + "Q" but it can be any other combination you specify. You can run InstantNavigator from anywhere in Windows. To begin a new search, run InstantNavigator and in the search box that opens, type in a word related to the note you want to retrieve. As you type in the letters of the word, the program will update the search results automatically. Once you see the note you need, click on its record to load the note to Microsoft OneNote. That's pretty much all you need to do.
