Iris stands proud as the annual management festival of IIM Indore – an event par excellence with its roots back to the start of millennium. The word Iris itself has its origin in the deep Greek mythology where Iris was worshiped as the goddess of Rainbow, the bridge that connects the crude world of earthly things to elevated world of heavens and spirituality. We consider Iris as our own golden archetype- connecting our theoretical learning to practical applications and thrill of achievement.
Held in the sprawling, sparkling strikingly beautiful campus of IIM Indore, Iris has been an irresistible combination of entertainment and education since 2000. It has been the highest points in the calendar at IIM Indore as the institute warms up itself to the budding managers and talented minds from more than 30 esteemed B-Schools of India. The participants vie for glory and honor as they enter the battleground of Iris in the august presence of the “who’s who” from the corporate world. To name a few, Mr. Rajan Mittal, M D Bharti Telecom, Mr. Rajesh Karla, M D Eichner Motors, Mr. M K Sharma, Vice Chairman, Hindustan Lever Limited and more.
Iris has hosted fiercely challenging and gruelling events that test luck, charisma, destiny and managerial excellence of the strong hearted on their path of glory – it has endowed undisputed honour on the winners. Iris has charmed the participants with its rich cultural extravaganza- be it the music show by Euphoria or Indian Ocean, the never ending exuberant parties from evening till late night, the fashions show scintillating the senses- it has always been a breath-taking brain-and-bliss experience.
Iris has become grander and bigger with every year introducing new events and carrying forward the past with grandeur and brilliance- In 2009, Iris evolved into Ahvan and Mridang- different fests to celebrate the managerial and entertainment spirit- both being lavish and huge reaching for five years- after which the confluence of the two has come calling again.
The year 2014 invites you to celebrate resurgence of life, revival of spirit and reawakening of the saga with a more magnificent and brilliant IRIS- welcome to the once-in-a-lifetime experience!
