Glary Utilities is another one of the thousands of different applications out there that helps you clear out and fine tune your system, for better and improved system speed and performance... and its a decent one too!

Glary Utilities is split up into two main sections, one being the 1-Click Maintenance area and the other being the Modules section. They both serve different purposes. The 1-Click Maintenance (even though it is in fact two!) is a really quick way to scan through your system and get rid of things that do not need to be there. For instance, Glary Utilities will search through your registry, temporary files, shortcuts and more and list anything that it thinks can be removed from your system safely. If you are a more advanced user and know that there is a particular area you want Glary Utilities to avoid, for example Startup Manager, simply un-tick its checkbox. If you want to go into further depth, you can deselect  any individual problem found, such as a specific registry key. Not necessarily useful features for standard users but great for the more computer competent users! Click Repair,  and the process is carried out. It only took a few seconds for me.

The Modules section contains many different tools and utilities to help you really fine tune and clear out your system, removing a lot of junk you may not even know existed. The five different categories available contain different tools.

The Clean Up and Repair category includes tools for getting rid of junk such as a Disk Cleaner, Registry Cleaner, Shortcut Fixer for removing dead shortcuts and Uninstall Manager to help fully remove applications.

Optimize and Improve is about speeding up your system and includes a Startup Manager for managing what happens when you log on, a Memory Optimizer, Context Menu Manager and Registry Defragger.

Privacy and Security contains tools to help remove your traces left behind from your activities and can be done using the Tracks Eraser. File Shredder can be used for securely removing files beyond recovery. File Undelete is a useful tool for recovering accidentally deleted files, and the File Encryptor and Decrypter helps secure files from unauthorized access.

The Files and Folders tab helps you manage files and folders on your system, by proving a  Disk Analyzer to show you how files and folders are using your disk. Duplicate Files Finders hunts down unnecessary copies of files which waste space, the Empty Folders Finder removes empty directories on your hard drive and the File Splitter lets you pull apart files into smaller individual chunks which is really useful when sending a large file to someone.

Finally, System Tools lets you manage running processes, Manage and restore Internet Explorer, show system information, and provides you with easy access to the standard Windows tools that come with every copy of Windows.

Glary Utilities is packed full of different tools and managers. Whats more, its freeware! You can download all of this inside one handy application without paying a thing. This automatically gets my attention, and my recommendations too. I think Glary Utilities is great and a serious competitor in the system utilities category! Overall, I’d rate Glary Utilities 4.6/5.
