GetPron is a command-line tool that takes a list of words and outputs pronunciations for those words that are used by Microsoft Speech Server 2004 speech-recognition engine. There are two required arguments: a vocabulary file (word list) and an output file. These are the core inputs that are passed to the speech engine.

In its simplest form, the tool can be used for checking pronunciation of particular words; especially names and other proper nouns. For certain names that speech-recognition engine does not have correct pronunciations, it can be specified in grammar.

GetPron takes a list of words and outputs pronunciations for those words that are used by Microsoft Speech Server 2004 speech-recognition engine.
