Hong Kong Workers’ Health Centre (HKWHC) thus has learnt the experience from Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) on developing a heat index mobile application, and with the provision of the most updated air temperature and relative humidity from Hong Kong Observatory to calculate the heat index in degrees Celsius for local districts.
The heat index combines both air temperature and relative humidity into a single value.
