Vibrations is an app for measuring mechanical vibrations and acoustic noise from engines, the environment, machines, and other equipment. (Ads supported.)
This is (currently) the only app that combines acoustic *and* mechanical measurements!
Uses: monitoring vehicle engine vibration, monitoring vibrations of household appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator, waste disposal units, clothes dryers, etc.), measuring g-force in moving vehicles, helping to identify failing gears, evidenced by knocking sounds, modes, etc.

- Body Massage - Vibration thera
- License: Freeware

Body Massage (also called vibratory massage, vibra-massage, vibration therapy) is a type of massage based on the use of mechanical devices for vibration therapy, which pass vibration onto the body surface that is being massaged.
Your cellphone can help you with your headache, neck or back pain, hands, you name it.
I hope you enjoy this free app.
Disclaimer: This is not intended to be used as a professional massage device. The vibration intensity will depend on your devicea* s hardware alone.

The clock is a mechanical living being that sails in the great river of time ahead of our civilization. Like the nights devide the days, the seconds devide the minutes and hours. Processes inside the clockwork are interfacing with the natural life cycles. The Mechanical Clock will help us to feel the pulse of the planet Earth and the rhythm of the Universe..

- Vibration Response Spectrum
- License: Freeware

This program calculates the Vibration Response Spectrum (VRS) for a base input Power Spectral Density (PSD). The base input PSD must be in terms of acceleration. The VRS uses point-by-point multiplication of the transmissibility function times the base input PSD. It is thus more accurate than Miles equation..

- Modal Substructuring (CMS) and Modal Substructure Modification
- License: Freeware

This submission contains an implementation of the modal substructuring approach described in Chapter 9 of Ginsberg, 'Mechanical and Structural Vibrations,' Wiley, 2001. The well known Craig-Bampton component mode synthesis method is a special case of the approach implemented here. The routine 'ritzscomb' can be used to predict the mode shapes, natural frequencies and damping ratios of an assembly of substructures from the modes of the subcomponents and the constraints that are to be enforced. For simpler problems where one wishes to add or remove rigid springs or masses from a structure, the routine 'ritzsmod' can be used.

- VCC
- License: Freeware

VCC is a mechanical verifier for concurrent C programs. VCC takes a C program, annotated with function specifications, data invariants, loop invariants, and ghost code, and tries to prove these annotations correct. If it succeeds, VCC promises that your program actually meets its specifications. Features: VCC is sound -- if VCC verifies your program, it really is correct (modulo bugs in VCC itself). VCC verification is modular -- VCC verifies your program one function/type definition at a time, using only the specifications of the functions it calls and the data structures it uses.

The Ascalaph Quantum package provides interfaces to ab initio quantum mechanical packages NWChem, CP2K and PC GAMESS / Firefly. Quantum calculations are performed using the PC GAMESS program. FEATURES: Energy calculations : · Energy calculation mode is controlled by selecting the basis and method to account for electron correlation. Optimization: · Geometry optimization is a routine job. The optimization cannot be applied to arbitrary geometry. First, the initial geometry should be close to the desired.

- Continuous Sound and Vibration Analysis
- License: Freeware

The main program is Main_sound_and_vibs.m. Up to 100 metrics are for each of sound, hand arm vibrations, whole body vibrations, and motion sickness. Main_sound_and_vibs calls the primary depedent function "Continuous_Sound_and_Vibrations_Analysis" which contains the switch statement controlling the data flow. This program calculates metrics for continuous sound and vibrations. Sound metrics include: peaks, Leq, LeqA, LeqC, kurtosis, third octave band peaks and levels, and more. Vibration metrics for hand-arm include: arms, armq, Dy, peak, crest factor, kurtosis, third octave band levels and peaks, and more.

- Hydraulic, Mechanical and Electric Modeling in Simulink
- License: Freeware

These files were used in the webinar on Modeling Mechanical, Electric and Hydraulic Systems in Simulink, which was broadcast on April 6th, 2006. In this webinar (Now Recorded and available from our website), we show how Simulink™ enables faster and more effective development of controlled mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems through simulation. We feature modeling and simulation of hydraulic systems with the (new) product SimHydraulics. We also demonstrate how to build models of mechanical components using SimMechanics and SimDriveline, and models of electric circuit and power management components using SimPowerSystems.

SimMechanicsd-OC?D? in conjunction with Simulink™ and MATLAB™ allows engineers to create complicated mechanical models, analyze the models, and develop controllers for the mechanical system. In this technical example, we examine how to use SimMechanics, MATLAB and Simulink to model physical components, synthesize controllers, and simulate the closed loop system of the Stewart Platform. The Stewart Platform is a six-degree of freedom positioning platform. For more information, see this MATLAB Digest article: http://www.

This zip file contains the demonstration model showing a 3-D mechanical model of an aileron actuated with a hydraulic actuator and with an electromechanical actuator. The parameters of the motor are tuned automatically to match measurement data, and the performance of the system is optimized in order to meet design requirements. Finally, implementation details are added, including a controller implemented as an analog circuit and a pulse-width modulated signal, in order to determine the impact on system performance.

- Hammerstein Toolbox
- License: Freeware

In a number of vibration applications, systems under study are slightly non-linear. Cascade of Hammerstein models conveniently allows one to describe such systems. The Hammerstein Toolbox provides a simple method based on a phase property of exponential sine sweeps to estimate the structural elements (Kernels) of such a model from only one measured response of the system. [1] M. RdoTebillat, R. Hennequin, E. Corteel, B.F.G. Katz, "Identification of cascade of Hammerstein models for the description of non-linearities in vibrating devices", Journal of Sound and Vibration, Volume 330, Issue 5, Pages 1018-1038, February 2011.

Structural Vibration Control is a very vast field of research. It aims to develop such comfortable and firm structures that can survive in the condition of severe dynamic loadings such as earthquake, High winds etc Due to numerous advantages of Semi active such as low power consumption and Stability etc, it has been used. MR (Magneto-Rheological) damper has been used as actuators; it is controllable fluid system. A complete Model has been designed, which includes a Single Story building and an MR damper attached to it.
