The CharMapX application was designed to be a small tool that will help you view characters that are available in any selected font.

You can copy individual characters or a group of characters to the Clipboard and paste them into any program that can display them. Depending on the program you are using (such as Microsoft WordPad), you can copy characters by dragging them from the application directly into an open document.

Using the application, you can search for characters by Unicode character name, Unicode subrange (such as arrow or mathematical operator), and other ways.

Ordner is a UNICODE program that keeps JPEG photos in order, using multiple hierarhical categories and auto-categories (EXIF tags are supported). Information about the pictures is written into an XML file that is always kept together with the pictures and thumbnails. Comments and any number of categories can be assigned to each picture. Multiple hierarhical category trees help to keep track of when and where the picture was shot, to create albums, to mark favourites, etc. Advanced filtering capabilities allow to find pictures matching specified categories.

In the applet shown below (Java enabled browsers only) 256 characters are displayed in a grid. By clicking on the bottom and right 'sliders' the offset of this character window into the Unicode character set can be changed. If, Unicode, the above Unicode signed Java Applet does not work... Often problems can be fixed simply by clicking the reload button on your browser. Make sure you have both JavaScript and Java enabled in your browser. This signed Java Applet needs 32-bit (not 64-bit) Java 1.

The freeware program CONVERT from KilletSoft converts data files to other data formats and character sets. For the import in MySQL or SQL databases the \'CREATE TABLE\' script can be generated. Thus the import of the data in any data base management system or file system will be possible. Conversions between this data formats are possible: CSV (Comma Separated Value), SDF (Simple Document Format), dBase (Borlands data base format). Conversions between this character sets are possible: ANSI (American National Standards Institute) [single byte WINDOWS standard], ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) [single byte character set], UTF8 (Unicode Transformation Format) [multi byte character set], Unicode (Universal Character Set) [double byte character set].

Lets you browse Unicode characters by range and search for them by name, display them (when Android has the font) and copy them to the clipboard. It can also decode a string of Unicode characters to names.

This is a very basic program, I wrote it because Android offers no other way to enter exotic characters.
