MSA Converter is an utility destinated to convert and manipulate the disk image files used by ATARI ST emulators. It is designed to work with Windows 95 and more. It also allows to view some of the graphic image formats used on Atari directly from disk images or from the hard disk.

The main functions are :

Utilities to create blank disk image files. The main use for this is to create blank Macintosh hard disk images for use with SoftMac 2000 and other Macintosh emulators, or to create blank Atari ST hard disk images for use by Gemulator. To install, unZIP the contents of MAKEDSK.ZIP. There are two Similar utilities provided - MAKEDSK.EXE and MakeImg.EXE.

MAKEDSK.EXE is used to create a large zero-filled file on your hard disk. This can then be mounted by SoftMac 2000 and formatted using the Mac OS disk formatting utility as a large Macintosh hard disk partition.

STDISK is our new utility to get those pescy Atari ST .st and .msa images onto innocent, unsuspecting DD (and wannabe DD) floppies... As this was something that gave us more trouble than was good for anybody, we've started making this utility.

The tool is a MS-DOS 16bit program and should work on any MS-DOS/Windows system (Ix86 compatible). An AT is probably the minimum machine type, but it just might work on an XT. We have not been able to test this, though.

It seems that all images with 9 or 10 sectors/track will be formatted and written without problems.

RECOIL (Retro Computer Image Library) is a viewer of pictures in native formats of classic home computers: Amiga, Atari 8-bit, Atari Portfolio, Atari ST, Atari Falcon, Commodore 64, Macintosh 128K, MSX, Sam Coupé and ZX Spectrum.

RECOIL opens over 200 different file formats. See http://recoil.sourceforge.net/ for the full list of supported formats and some example files.

The file picker lets you browse all directories on your device as well as ZIP archives.

Twintrix is heavily inspired by the Atari ST classic Klatrix, which is a mixture between Klax (Atari's attempt to steal the puzzle game crown from Tetris) and Tetris itself. It's also similar to countless other puzzle games like Columns. The principle behind Twintrix is simple, connect rows of identical tiles to destroy them. The minimum length of a row is 3 tiles and they can be in any direction. Several rows can be destroyed at once, and when the remaining tiles fall down, new rows are often created causing further destruction and giving more and more score.

The video game based on the movie was released in 1991 and was available for ZX Spectrum, Amiga, Atari ST, IBM PC, Amstrad, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super NES and Game Boy.

The game featured deep sea combat, side-scrolling action, and cinematic sequences. The object is to evade destruction and eliminate saboteurs. The caterpillar drive is particularly useful for quietly escaping the enemy.

The Super NES version is one of only a few games that use the Super Scope accessory, though it is only used to play bonus stages that put the submarine in first person view, where the player has to destroy a number of enemies and projectiles.
