- Using S-Parameters in MATLAB & Simulink
- License: Freeware

A sequence of examples is provided that demonstrate how S-parameter measurements can be made and utilized to design a radio frequency amplifier. An HP (now Agilent) 8505A system controlled by MATLAB is used to characterize a bipolar transistor in terms of its S-parameters. These measurements are used to design input and output matching networks for a prescribed 20 dB gain. The resulting design is verified in both MATLAB and a third party RF design package. A Simulink model of the transistor with the LC matching circuits is created to show how S-parameter models can be incorporated in the Simulink environment.

- Steam Condenser Model and PI Control
- License: Freeware

The zip file includes the model description in a pdf file, a simulink model of the steam condenser, a function to perform Reaction Curve PID tuning and an m-file to run the model. The m-file can be used to learn how to use the Reaction Curve approach to tune a PID controler. The model itself can be used to test various control design approaches, e.g. MPC. The model was developed under R14SP3 (MATLAB 7.1, Simulink 6.3). If there is any requirement to work with previous version of MATLAB/Simulink, please drop me an email.

- Translation of Matlab & Simulink models to SpecC specification Models
- License: Freeware

This project deals with the translation of a Simulink models to SpecC specification models. Matlab is one of the leading softwares in model based and algorithmic designing. Spec C (close to ANSI C) is a high level language which can be implemented on hardware using System on Chip Environment(SCE). Having the features of both procedural languages like C, C++ and Hardware Description languages like VHDL and Verilog and even more, SpecC can be considered as superior System Level Design Language which can be realized on hardware.

- Nonlinear F-16 Fighter Model
- License: Freeware

This ZIP file contains the nonlinear model of an F-16 fighter aircraft in MATLAB/Simulink, Both high-fidelity and low-fidelity aerodynamic data are available, taken from NASA report 1538 and "Aircraft Control and Simulation" by Lewis & Stevens. A trim function is also included. F16dyn.c and F16dynam.c contain essentially the same model, only differing in the use of quaternions vs. Euler angles. F16dynam_complex.c is updated with more general equations of motion so that cg shifts can be taken into account.

- License: Freeware

In this demo, control object (plant) is gas separator. Control Performance of Cascade PID control and Model Predictive Control are compared . This demo shows following contents. [1] Plant modeling Governing rules of the plant are assumed and modeled on a formula basis. The governing rules are derived from mass balance equation and ideal gas equation. [2] System identification Identify parametric model from plant input and output response in time domain. [3] Control system design (PID control, Model Predictive Control) Design of PID control for the inner control system, and cascade PID control and Model Predictive Control for the outer control system.

- HL-20 Lifting Body
- License: Freeware

This model uses Simulink and the Aerospace Blockset for modeling the airframe of a NASA HL-20 lifting body, which is a low-cost complement to the Space Shuttle orbiter. The Aerospace Blockset was used to rapidly assemble portions of the HL-20 airframe. The remaining portions, including the calculation of aerodynamic coefficients, were modeled with Simulink..

- Anti-windup digital PID
- License: Freeware

ANTI WIND UP is a simple Matlab Simulink file that allows user to analyze the behavior of 2 digital pid implementations. You can focus on command and process output when the actuator is saturated. You will see that the basic PID exibits an overshoot after an saturation of the actuator. This problem is avoided by using the anti-windup PID that controls the integration term..

- Force Feedback Toolbox for MATLAB/Simulink
- License: Freeware

A user can create a force feedback effect object in MATLAB workspace. Parameters used to define such objects are similar to those used in DirectX FFB effect structure. MATLAB maintains these FFB objects in its workspace and also the corresponding DirectX FFB effect structure using a DLL (C mex-function). This DLL incorporates DirectX functions and creates a linked list of DirectX effect structures. The effect objects in MATLAB can be manipulated within MATLAB and the changes are reflected in the corresponding effect structure in DLL.

- Profiling DSP Code on a TI DM6437
- License: Freeware

This paper walks you through the process of profiling code running on a Texas Instruments DM6437 DSP. To demonstrate the process we profiled many common DSP algorithms including Auto-Correlation, the Dot Product, the FFT, an FIR filter, an IIR Filter, a Matrix Multiply, and an LMS Filter. These algorithms were profiled under different conditions. We examined the effects of data type, arithmetic, compiler optimization levels, and the use of DSP intrinsics. For each DSP algorithm profiled, we compared automatically generated C code to TI hand-optimized assembly.
