Crazy topy is a driving game with a difference, being a hybrid of an adventure game and a dirt bike game, crazy topy is a great source of innovation on the concept, as instead of using a standard generic dirt bike, the game gives you a crazy contraption and challenges you to work out how to use it effectively to clear the stages in the required amount of time. This is a great dynamic for a game to have, and combined with the adventure and RPG element of the game in the upgrade system which is based on collecting coins from previous levels.

The controls themselves are intended to be very strange and unmanageable to match the bizarre contraption you play as, and the game certainly matches that criteria amazingly, so whether or not it loses marks for isn't completely clear. However, in addition to controlling strangely, and being a little difficult to manoeuvre up and down the terrain the vehicle is also equipped with a canon. This canon allows you to destroy boulders which are in your way (at the cost of a little recoil which forces your vehicle backwards) which adds another great element to the game, as you must decide whether to traverse the mountainous terrain or simply destroy it.

The progression of the game is fairly unique, as completion of a level is the way future levels are unlocked. However, as the levels get progressively harder, you need a vehicle which gets progressively better, and the vehicle is upgrades by collecting coins (which are often in difficult to reach places) from previous levels. This makes the decision as your run through the level interesting, as you must decide between simply progressing and possibly having a difficult time on the next stage, or collecting coins to stand a better chance, at the cost of the current stage.

The game is a great game in that it is both really hard and really easy, depending on how good you are. If controlling the strangely put together vehicle is second nature to you, you can speed through the entire game in under half an hour. However, if you are not so good at controlling it, you will find the levels tend to get harder and harder, requiring upgrades to complete, and therefore a large time investment if you intend to beat the game, as each stage will be a lot easier once you have upgraded your vehicle.

Overall, the game is a great distraction to download if games which don't help you out if you're doing a little poorly annoy you, by giving you a little RPG side of the game to play around with. However, if games which (arguably) require no skill, just time to complete annoy you this game may just irk you a little, and I wouldn't recommend you give it a play.
