Acquires buffers of data from the system default sound card, calculates the power spectrum of the data and plots this along with the raw sampled data to screen. Useful as a quick and dirty (and completely uncalibrated) audio frequency spectrum analyser. Extends previous function (http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fil...?objectId=20541) into a Matlab Class. The GUI uses an instance of this class. See http://iheartmatlab.blogspot.com for a detailed run-through of the code and the programming techniques utilised.

An output socket that allows zero or more TCP client connections to be made. A separate thread manages the client connections allowing for multiple clients to connect and disconnect at any time. Not just for data communication but also useful as a debug output monitoring tool. Usage: output_port = 1234; output_socket = MatlabOutputSocket(output_port); % Write a string out output_socket.write(int8(sprintf('Hi there how are you?rn'))); % Write some raw data out output_socket.write(rand(4, 'single')); % close socket connection output_socket.close(); For more details and an explanation of the Java helper class see: http://iheartmatlab.blogspot.com/2010/06/n...put-socket.html

Provides an example Server / Client written in MATLAB that utilises the ability to call Java inline to perform message communication using TCP/IP. Importantly it does not require any pre-compiled DLLs or force you to compile some MEX c-files. Nor does it require any additional toolboxes Its all contained within the .m files. To use the example: - Start 2 instances of MATLAB - in the first execute the following: message = char(mod(1:1000, 255)+1); server(message, 3000, 10) - in the second execute the following: data = client('localhost', 3000) For more details see: My Webpagehttp://iheartmatlab.blogspot.com/2008/08/tcpip-socket-communications-in-matlab.html
