This model shows an example of a conventional vehicle electrical system model, which was shown in the webinar "Developing Accurate Battery Simulation Models" http://www.mathworks.com/wbnr37544. The model is intended to study component sizing, selection, and control. The electrical system model contains a Simscape lead-acid battery model as described in SAE Paper 2007-01-0778 http://www.mathworks.com/mason/tag/proxy.h...33&fileid=40542. There are two choices for battery size. The model also contains data-driven alternator model options using either look-up tables or Model-Based Calibration Toolbox blocks. Vehicle loads are modeled as variable resistive elements.

This GUI provides a visualization of the electromagnetic field induced by a current flowing in a straight wire. The tool also shows the current induced by a rectangular coil that is placed inside the electromagnetic field. The current is calculated using Ampere's Law and the Biot-Savart Law. This demo was created for educational demonstrations. The user can modify the size and position of the coil, as well as the resistance. The current waveform and magnitude can also be specified.

This entry provides functions and examples allowing you to create Simulink.TsArray and Simulink.TimeSeries objects from a script or the MATLAB command line. A Simulink.TsArray object can be used as input data for a bus signal input in Simulink. Note: These functions contain **UNDOCUMENTED** functionality that is subject to change in a future MathWorks release. The code has been tested in R2009b, but there is no guarantee of future compatibility

Multi-temperature lithium battery model using Simscape language and Simulink Design Optimization This file contains multi-temperature lithium battery model examples with thermal dynamics that are implemented using the Simscape language. There are equivalent circuit model examples containing 1 RC branch and 2 RC branches. The number of branches can be chosen to balance fidelity and parameter estimation complexity. These models are implemented using Simulink and Simscape language. This file also contains an example that uses Simulink Design Optimization. This demo shows how you can use the parameter estimation tool to optimize parameters to match measured battery data. To see a complete demonstration of the battery models and parameterization tasks, please enroll for the webinar, 'Lithium Battery Modeling with Thermal Dependence in...

The xPC File Scope is a very useful tool for data logging, but retrieving the data from the target PC from the command line is not a simple and straightforward process. A function was written to simplify gathering and archiving data from a model's file scopes and saving it to MAT-file format. Additional functions were written to simplify converting the logged signals from MAT format to a CSV file, a single matrix, or individual array variables in the MATLAB workspace.
