CrossHair displays two full-screen lines intersecting your mouse cursor when you press a hot key. As you move the mouse cursor, the lines follow over any program or window. The program is tiny, and runs completely transparently until you call up the crosshairs. It's useful for eyeballing any kind of chart or tabular data on screen, and for aligning objects in graphics or design applications. The setup program will automatically enable CrossHair. At any time, press one of the the activation hotkeys to make the crosshairs appear. There are two activation hotkeys: * Roving hotkey: press to make the crosshairs follow your mouse as you move it around. The default roving hotkey is Control+Backtick, as shown at the left. * Stationary hotkey: press to make the crosshairs remain fixed at your mouse cursor's current location. The default...

- Playlist Assist for iTunes
- License: Shareware

Playlist Assist is a simple aplication that will improve the Party Shuffle feature of Apple iTunes for Windows. Rather than selecting upcoming songs uniformly at random, Playlist Assist identifies and suggests songs in your library that are similar to those already in the playlist.Playlist Assist makes it easy to build a playlist starting with just a few 'seed' tracks. You can use it on both Party Shuffle and regular playlists. As you accept and decline songs, a simple machine learning algorithm identifies what the songs you've accepted have in common, and suggests similar tracks. The suggestion algorithm considers the metadata stored with each track and also information that iTunes records about your listening habits. It works best if you are a long-time iPod+iTunes user with some playlists already set up.The current version of...

Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use and, like all my programs, it's very small and won't burden your system. A valuable tool for system administrators!Startup Control Panel is compatible with all modern versions of Windows through Windows XP. Windows Vista, after all these years, finally has a very good startup manager built-in; go to Control Panel > Performance Information and Tools, and then click on Manage Startup Programs on the left.. - StartupMonitor
- License: Freeware
- Price: 0.00

StartupMonitor is a small utility that runs transparently (it doesn't even use a tray icon) and notifies you when any program registers itself to run at system startup. It prevents annoying programs from registering themselves behind your back.StartupMonitor does not require Startup Control Panel, but it complements it nicely. When you choose not to allow a program to register itself, the program's entry becomes disabled in Startup Control Panel, so you can go back and enable it later if necessary. StartupMonitor watches the Start Menu's Startup folders and the Run entries in the registry.StartupMonitor works on all modern versions of Windows through XP.. Mike Lin's Home Page.
