It computes the area of a polygon on a flat surface.
The PolyAr application was designed to be a tiny, simple program which does just one thing: it computes the area of a polygon on a flat surface.
It may be used in surveying or real estate business to calculate area of lots, but other applications are also possible. Very few people may need this program, but those who do, need it badly.
The polygon is entered as a series of vertices. A vertex is defined as a pair of (x,y) coordinates or via the distance and azimuth from the previous vertex. You will be prompted for every vertex, and then you can enter either.
NOTE:
PolyAr is free for personal and small business use; for corporate users a modest license fee is needed (quotes on request; additional documentation included, custom...

Quick-and-dirty text insertion into source files.
The QD Includer (or just QDI) was designed to be a program for quick-and-dirty text insertion into source files, developed originally to facilitate maintenance of mid- to large-size Web sites, but usable also outside of that area.
The HTML standard does not provide an easy to use code insertion facility (like, for example, one in the C programming language). Neither style sheets, nor server-side includes will replace this feature, the former being too limited in scope, the latter depending on the server software.
Some HTML development tools offer similar functionality, but many of us stay away from them, as the quality of HTML code generated by those tools ranges from very bad to abysmal, and the code is often difficult to manage and maintain. Many HTML...

Quick-And-Dirty C++ Metrics.
QD Metrics (or just QDMet) was designed to be a program for quick-and-dirty metrics of C++ source code, addressed to software developers. It will crawl through a selected directory and all its subdirectories, if desired, and generate a detailed metrics report of all files it finds.
QDMet will count code lines, characters, and terminators (semicolons), with separate counts for comments and blanks lines.
In addition to lines of code (whatever that means), QDI generates a number of other, similar metrics which may be of use in determining a project size. These metrics are discussed in detail in one of the next sections of this document.
QDMet generates a log / report file named qdmet.log in the directory from which it was run (not the scanned root directory). Each...

- Statmaster

Many scientific and engineering programs generate numeric output which needs to be presented graphically. Statmaster is a simple way to do that, reading a text file with data arranged in a space-separated table, and drawing up to 8 pages of histograms and XY plots, up to 64 graphs per page. The way in which the data is presented is defined in a simple Windows inifile, and most graph attributes can be adjusted as needed. The program is run from the command line, as in "statmaster setup.ini mydata.dat" which allows for easy automation of the process in a simple batch file. It does not provide a runtime user interface to adjust how the graphs are presented, and is therefore best fit for automated presentation of some other application's output.. wrotniak.net: Welcome. wrotniak.net by J. Checks whether your computer suffers from the Floating Point Unit (FPU) accuracy degradation.
The TestFPU application was designed to be a small tool that checks whether your computer, running a 32-bit Windows, suffers from the Floating Point Unit (FPU) accuracy degradation.
FPU is a separate part of your processor, performing fast and accurate calculations on floating-point (roughly speaking: non-integer) numbers.
If you use any programs performing accurate calculations (mostly, but not only, scientific and engineering applications), you want your computer perform with the accuracy it was supposed to perform with. It turns out, under some Windows configurations the accuracy of your FPU is not up to specs.
The nominal accuracy of the FPU is 19-20 decimal digits. If your system is affected,...
