Using the notebook feature, a lab can be created for a class in which the students can interact with MATLAB through Microsoft Word. This approach can be used when you want to use the power of MATLAB to demonstrate a concept, but do not want the students to focus on the MATLAB code. Please note that the Data Acquisition and Instrument Control Toolboxes are required to run the m-book in its entirety. The simpleIC.m file was created using TMTool from the Instrument Control Toolbox. This more than likely will not work out of the box for you, so it it recommended that you use the tool to create your own simpleIC function.

- Inlining Parameters to use with xPC Target
- License: Shareware
- Price:

This video shows how to inline parameters in order to tune constants with xPC Target. It uses a simple model of two constants connected to a bus. Once the model is setup and built, xPC Target Explorer is used to do the actual tuning. You can find more information in the xPC Target documentation. The video is about 4MB and does not have sound. This was done in order to make the video small enough to go through most email.

With the xPC Target Embedded Option you can use the DOSLoader mode to allow you to copy the xPC Target kernel to the target flash disk, remove the 3.5-inch disk drive, and then boot the xPC Target kernel. The target application is still downloaded from the host PC. Use this mode for applications where an xPC Target host is not easily accessible. This is a 4MB video showing how to set this mode up. There is no sound so as to make the video small enough to send through email.
