NodeBolt adds a simple layer of protection to remind admins / editors that for some reason, this node should be handled with a little more care when it comes to editing. For the node ids specified by the settings page, NodeBolt adds an extra step when editing. If you are looking for a quick and simple way to protect a few pieces of content from yourself or others, then NodeBolt is for you. Examples of nodes to bolt: * One off site pages (About, Contact Us, etc.) * webforms * Node Blocks Example use case: A site has a sign up form, on which the body uses php (thats another discussion) but its hidden since the wysiwyg is enabled. The promote_blocks module works in the same was as "promote to front page" works. The difference is that the content is promoted with a block. Just choose which content type is allowed for block promotion and the default region. Then when editing, choose the "promote to block" check box in the publishing options.

With the built in Drupal fourm module, items are handled just like nodes and comments on those nodes. One shortcomming with this approach is that the permissions for comments also apply to forum posts. What this means is that you can not have moderated comments and un-moderated forums, or vice-versa. This module fixes that. It allows you to select which node types are "always moderated". The basic setup for this is to enable the 'post comments without approval' permission for all roles. You then select which node types should always be moderated at admin/content/comment/settings. Roles that are not allowed to post without approval are handled normally.
