Emulate Babbage Difference Engine 2 at Mountain View Computer History Museum Program to emulate evaluation of 7th order polynomial with 31 digit accuracy for Difference Engine designed by Charles Babbage around 1830. Two versions of the engine were build in the 20th century by the London Science Museum. One, owned by Nythan Myhrvold, currently resides at the Mountain View Computer History Museum http://www.computerhistory.org/babbage/ The programs calculates the numbers in the each of the 8 31-digit number columns (registers) for each crank of the manually operated engine. Some background and a detailed description of how it works are included (Section 3). Just load and and run the program.

A set of programs for simulating beacon satellite propagation through the Earth's ionosphere. Standard satellite orbit parameters and an earth magnetic field model are used to define the propagation paths. PropCode3 uses these inputs to calculate a measurement field realization. A modified version of the SGP4 code used for standard satellite orbit computation using two-line elements (TLE). The modified code outputs satellite positions and velocity in ECF coordinates and universal time from EPOCH. Utilities are provided to calculate point-to-point angle, range rates, TCS positions, constant altitude intercepts and velocities. Outputs are collected in a structure and retained in a *.mat file for subsequent display and Beacon satellite data analysis applications. Documentation and examples are provided. Code uses GPS_CoordinateXform and IGRF utilities available from MATLAB Central.
